Thank you for your prayers. This last week I needed them. A couple of days ago I was working with a man here at the mission trying to repair a lawnmower. We had to weld up the deck because where the motor bolted to the deck was broken. Anyway, the other man was grinding a piece of metal to get it to fit right and I was standing there when a piece of hot metal got into my eye. I started crying immediately. My eye was watering but the thing would not come out. So I came into the mission and asked the cook if she could see anything in there. She said, "Wow, yea." I tried to wash out my eye with water and I felt the piece of metal move a little but it still would not come out. I asked the cook if she could still see it and she said, " Yea and I think I can get it with my finger." As I stood there bracing my eye open she reach in with her finger and was able to get it out of my eye. It was about the size of the head of a pin. My eye was a little sore, but otherwise no problem. Praise God.
Then the following day we were welding on the same lawnmower and I was sitting on a stool right next to this car battery that was getting charged. I was next to this battery for probably three hours helping fit the pieces that needed to be welded. Then the man I was working with needed to grind a piece of metal. I got up and went outside the building after learning my lesson from the day before. All of a sudden the battery exploded, and sent acid and battery chunks all over where I just had been for the last three hours. Neither I nor the other man was hurt, but another close call. Praise God.
Oh yea we finally got the lawnmower working, which is another praise.
